How can you be a Powerful Voice for an Abused Child? 2011 is truly a very special year for us as we approach our 20th anniversary. CASA of Collin County was chartered on July 9, 1991 and for the past 19 years, we have provided a powerful voice for 6,924 children removed from unsafe homes in our community. The Hoak Foundation established in 1990 by Nancy and Jim Hoak supports non-profit organizations in the areas of medical research, education and other initiatives impacting children. The foundation intends to support organizations primarily located in the Dallas area, but will consider opportunities outside of Texas when appropriate.

Welcome to CASA of Deep East Texas! Advocating for children in Nacogdoches, Shelby and San Augustine counties. What it means to be a CASA volunteer. When a child enters the foster care system because his or her home is no longer safe, a judge may appoint a committed volunteer to help them. That volunteer is called a Court Appointed Special Advocate , or CASA.
